In a space listen to the instructions and respond to the actions space and dynamics.

Actions – what you do e.g jump, turn, roll, reach
Space – where e.g. levels, directions, pathways
Dynamics – how e.g. fast, slow, calm, explosive
Use your whole body or individual body parts
Respond as many times as you want to explore lots of ideas
If you have others to dance with at home, explore actions with them too.

Roll the dice!

With you whiteboard/paper, pen and dice roll 6 times for space, 6 times for dynamics and 6 times for actions to create your instructions for a chance choreography dance.

You can use our instructions if you do not have any dice or maybe you would like to try ours first. (You can get dice apps on smart phones)

Create a Chance Choreography with Dice Dance

Using your instructions that you created by rolling the dice create a dance.

You can use our instructions or your own
You need to follow the dynamics, space and actions instructions as close as possible.
The dice have chosen the instructions for you so some of them may prove tricky but try your best.
You can create a solo or a duet/group dance if you have people at home you can dance with
You can do this as many times as you like, you may start with your own list of Space, Dynamics and Actions.
