Travelling Parade
Play follow my leader travelling in as many different ways as we can. Can you change levels, speed and size of actions?
Tunnels – ask other people at home to create tunnels for you to travel under and through. How big or small can the tunnels be?
Circus tent shapes
In a space explore shapes with your body to look like a circus tent. Try out a few ideas, and thing about the different ways you can use your body. If you have someone at home to dance with you can make circus tent shapes together.
Circus Performers
Tiptoe forwards, backwards and sideways along the tightrope taking small steps, use your arms to help you balance.
TASK
Using the words on the Circus Dance PDF to create your own circus dance. Ask grown-ups at home to help you choose which words you would like to use to help create your circus dance, and if you get stuck you can watch our dance for ideas.
You can: –
- Choose some ideas from the Circus PDF and pick out the ideas you like the best
- Dance your ideas in any order
- Pick out only 3 or 4 words to create your dance
- Add a starting and finishing position
- Dance on your own or with others at home
