Ingredients and mixing Ideas
Exploring actions to represent ingredients to put into a potion and actions to show how we could add the ingredients.
In a space listen and respond to my instructions however you choose.
- Travel, freeze, ingredients or mix/chop etc
Pour, Mix, Chop, Spray, Slice, Sprinkle
Magic Dust, Rotten Vegetables, Washing up liquid, Flea powder, Butter, Minty Toothpaste
Create the potion
Pair up actions for ingredients and how to add them, to create a potions motif.
Consider the size of the action, the level (low, medium, high) and the speed and quality of the action (dynamics).
Spray Minty Toothpaste
Pour Washing Powder
Slicing Rotten Vegetable

TASK
Make sure you have a pen and paper/whiteboard to write the words in the order you choose for your dance.
Potions Dance
Using the ideas from the Potion PDF create your own Potions dance.
You can pick any ingredients and ways to add you decide. Create actions for them and put them into an order and think about how you dance them (dynamics) and where you perform the actions (space).
You can: –
- Use Creative Steps Potions Dance and make up your own actions to the words we chose
- Change the order and maybe add in some extra ingredients
- Pick out 5 or 6 ingredients and ways to add to create your dance
- Make a duet/group dance if you have other people to dance with at home
- Practice it as many times as you want with the music
